Adamya 2 by Smaranjit Chakrabarty
Adamya Sen. His nickname is Adam. The simple boy from Kolkata, through the twists and turns of time and circumstances, has become a man of contrasts - both black and white. With his money, he supports not only a small orphanage in the village of Phish but also many other orphanages scattered across the world. He views 'morality' in his own way. Yet, even amidst wrongdoings, he somehow always ends up standing by the side of ordinary, harmless people.
In the three stories of this book, Adamya repeatedly returns to Kolkata, his childhood city. In each story, he rushes here in one way or another to save the endangered city, to stand by the weak. He has stared down enemies and pulled the city out of the darkness of hell. Even from the shadows, he has thwarted all conspiracies and preparations for destruction with Marcos Adil. Sometimes the story has taken him to Serbia, sometimes to Ulaanbaatar, and sometimes even to New Zealand!
And weaving all these points together, one mystery after another unfolds, with Adamya at the center. No one can see him easily. No one can catch him. People say about him, he is darker than darkness itself. Brighter than light! More insane than madness! More still than the mountains! Lighter than a feather, heavier than mercury! Hotter than fire and colder than ice. Yet, when he introduces himself, he simply says, "My name is Sen, Adamya Sen."
