Even the fearless and formidable Kakababu finds himself initially quite astonished by this mystery. It takes him quite a while to come out of his confusion. In the end, Kakababu does manage to solve the mystery, and Shantu arrives with a friend to join him, but only in the final segment of the story. Until then, "The Mystery of the Royal Palace" remains intensely complex and almost supernatural, seemingly designed to blur the line between belief and disbelief. It is a thrilling and uniquely flavored story, making "The Mystery of the Royal Palace" a standout tale.
