Galiber Bou Ja Bolte Pare by Sebanti Ghosh
Sebanti Ghosh was born in Siliguri. Her father, Horen Ghosh, was a former professor at Siliguri Commerce College, and her mother was Dipti Ghosh. After completing her schooling at Siliguri Girls' High School, she pursued her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Bengali Language and Literature at Shantiniketan. She completed her B.Ed. from Calcutta University. Her life has spanned across Siliguri, Shantiniketan, and Kolkata.
She is a teacher professionally. Her passions are travelling and sleeping. She received a Senior Fellowship from the Ministry of Information and Culture, Government of India, for research on women's writing (2008-2010). She has participated in poetry readings and discussions organized by the Sahitya Academy in cities such as Kolkata, Gangtok, Guwahati, Kokrajhar, Delhi, Ludhiana, and Bhopal. She also took part in the SAARC Literature Festival in Bhubaneswar and Dhaka.
In 2011, she participated in poetry and storytelling sessions and discussions at various institutions in Canada, including the University of British Columbia, Fraser Valley, Kwantlen Polytechnic, and the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute. She also participated in the Dhaka Literary Meet in 2017. Sebanti Ghosh has received the Krttibas and Anita Sunil Kumar Bengali Academy Awards.
Several of her poetry collections have been published, and she has also done translation work. Her poems have been included in various anthologies.
