Robertson er Ruby is both the final Feluda mystery and the last novel by its creator, Satyajit Ray. Published in the Desh magazine's Durga Puja issue during Ray's final year, this story revolves around a priceless ruby, the size of a pigeon’s egg, which had been taken from India long ago by the Robertson family.
The plot follows Peter Robertson, a descendant of the family, who, accompanied by a photographer friend, returns to India to fulfill his ancestor's dying wish: to return the ruby to its homeland. However, returning such a valuable gem, worth over ten lakh rupees, proves to be far from straightforward. The narrative intertwines with a historical murder case, creating a riveting and humane adventure. The book features a cover and illustrations by Subrata Gangopadhyay.
