Srijat’s writings began to be published regularly from the mid-1990s, though he had been writing for several years prior. Now, looking back, his literary journey spans nearly three decades. Over this long period, his poetry has evolved, passing through many phases and witnessing multiple transformations, which have continually reshaped his poetic thought. The third volume of his Collected Poems aims to capture this continuity and the totality of his poetic journey.

This volume includes seven of his poetry collections, each distinct in language and theme. The book Chhai Ronger Gram originally included prose pieces, but for this compilation, those have been omitted. Although his first independent poetry collection, Shesh Chithi, was published in 1999 (marking the starting point of the first volume of his collected works), Amrai Stabdha Pratinidhi, his first complete collection, appeared in the anthology Guha Lipi in 1997. This work thus represents the earliest comprehensive expression of his poetry and has been included in its entirety in this third volume.

The seven collections in this volume stand as a testament to Srijat’s uninterrupted dedication to poetry. Through them, readers of Bengali poetry will discover a unique and resonant voice, a collective and individual expression that enriches the literary landscape.
