সুচিত্রা ভট্টাচার্যের অসমপূর্ণা
Popular fiction writer Suchitra Bhattacharya was serializing Ei Mohomaya in the magazine Sananda. This novel, set in the bustling metropolis, portrays the struggles of a woman exhausted by life’s battles, a new love, and dreams touched by pain - Suchitra presents herself in her unique style. She knew the urban middle-class society like the back of her hand. With her dynamic language, believable dialogues, and dramatic jolts, the reader is immediately transported into the world of Ei Mohomaya. The surroundings, hopes, and aspirations of the people are visible, along with their solitude amidst the noise.
The novel was not finished with the writer's sudden passing. Suchitra had started writing another novel for Sharadiya Desh 1422 (the Bengali year) titled Kanta Beda Paye (With Thorns in the Foot), set in the context of our time, but could not complete it. Both her unfinished works, Ei Mohomaya and Kanta Beda Paye, are included in Asampurna, a collection of Suchitra Bhattacharya's last two incomplete creations - two expert signatures of her lifelong literary devotion.
