Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay was a renowned Bengali writer, best known for his detective fiction, particularly the Byomkesh Bakshi series. Byomkesh Bakshi, a sharp and insightful detective, is one of the most iconic characters in Bengali literature. Bandyopadhyay’s works span across multiple genres, including historical novels, short stories, and thrillers. The first two volumes of Sharadindu Amnibus are a chronological compilation of all the detective stories of Byomkesh. This volume includes twenty stories and novels written by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay featuring Byomkesh. The final piece in this series is Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay's last work, which he was unable to complete.
