It is well known that Sunil was a leading poet of the 1950s "Krittibas" movement, which revolutionized Bengali poetry. His poetry brought a fresh breeze and a new fragrance that had not been experienced before. Balancing the demands of both prose and poetry is a challenging task, but Sunil succeeded remarkably. Despite being a successful writer in every aspect, he never forgot that his true love was poetry. His dedication to poetry continues, keeping readers equally engaged.

The third volume of his "Kobitasamagra" includes six poetry collections:
