Sunil Gangopadhyay's complete poetry collections are being published in a chronological series titled "Kobitasamagra." This is significant news for lovers of Bengali poetry, as Sunil Gangopadhyay, one of the finest writers of Bengali literature, is also a powerful poet. It is well known that Sunil was a leading poet of the 1950s "Krittibas" movement, which revolutionized Bengali poetry. His poetry brought a fresh breeze and a new fragrance that had not been experienced before. Balancing the demands of both prose and poetry is a challenging task, but Sunil succeeded remarkably. Despite being a successful writer in every aspect, he never forgot that his true love was poetry. His dedication to poetry continues, keeping readers equally engaged.
The third volume of his "Kobitasamagra" includes six poetry collections:
- "Smritir Shohor" (City of Memories)
- "Shada Pustok, Tomar Shonge" (White Pages, With You)
- "Batashe Kiser Dak, Shono" (The Call in the Air, Listen)
- "Neera, Hariye Jeyo Na" (Neera, Do Not Vanish)
