Shasthipada Chattopadhyay Shasthipada Chattopadhyay was born on 25th Phalgun, 1347 (Bengali calendar), or 1941 in Khurut Shasthitala, Central Howrah. His literary journey began in his teenage years. Although he had been associated with Anandabazar Patrika’s Sunday columns since 1961, it was the publication of his children’s book Pandab Goenda in 1981 that cemented his reputation as a writer. Following the immense popularity of Pandab Goenda, he continued to write tirelessly, producing one book after another. An adventure enthusiast at heart, Shasthipada Chattopadhyay has incorporated his rare and thrilling experiences from travels across various countries into his writings. Currently, he is a regular contributor to the fortnightly magazine Anandamela.
