Born on November 21, 1982, in Medinipur, Nirmalya Mukhopadhyay is a distinguished scholar of Bengali literature and a teacher by profession. His first poem was published in Desh magazine at the age of twenty.

He received the Bengali Academy Commemorative Honor in 2011 for his poetry collection Raktagandhar Lipi and the Krittibas Award in 2019 for Agami Janmer Lata-Pata.

Nirmalya has contributed poems and essays to notable Bengali publications, including Desh, Anandabazar Patrika, Sananda, and Unish Kuri. His debut novel, Prabhu Amar Priyo, showcases his potential as a promising young author and was serialized in Desh magazine.
