For those of us accustomed to reading urban fantasy or Rick Riordan’s mythology-based fantasy series, this may not feel entirely out of the box. However… the way the author has woven Norse mythology’s Nine Realms, mythical creatures, and various folktales into a Bengali setting is truly commendable.

Unlike conventional myth-based fantasy, where gods usually take center stage, Arin’s story is different—it doesn’t focus on deities. This is a refreshing change. Instead, the emphasis is more on mythical creatures like Nidhogg and Jörmungandr.

The main characters are Arin, Tanish, Nina, and Professor Bosurai.
