Although primarily intended for 'Hejaj,' Mohammad Badruzzaman's travelogue actually spans almost the entire Arab world. It includes Syria, Egypt, Iraq, and Palestine's Jerusalem, Haifa, and Gaza. In 1913, this 'Dinatidin' traveler from undivided India, now Bangladesh's Cox's Bazar, had no prior experience in foreign travel or writing. He presented his beliefs, considerations, and wonders to his native readers without any embellishment. To him, this almost fairytale-like travel account became enriched simply by its attention to detail and pure narrative quality. This narrative of the journey, travel modes, cities, markets, and the interactions of Muslims, Jews, and Christians through the eyes of an ordinary traveler from this country is a delightful addition to the 'Ekada Vromone' series.
