A significant chapter in the artist's life. This period marks his resignation from his job at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi and his arrival at Kala Bhavana in Santiniketan. In between, there was a brief trip to Baghdad, documented through illustrated journal entries.

Alongside numerous sketches, this sketchbook contains fragments of artistically rendered notes that bring the creator and his surroundings to life. The birth of the artist’s "Mati'r Bari" (Earthen House) in Santiniketan is first recorded in these pages. The inevitable transformation in his artwork - shifting from the bureaucratic atmosphere of Rashtrapati Bhavan to the creative and natural environment of Santiniketan - is vividly reflected in this sketchbook.
