The artist’s earliest sketchbook - a space where his restless artistic mind is driven by an intense search, line by line. Among the many faces in this sketchbook, the portraits of three renowned musicians - Shantidev Ghosh, Hemanta Mukhopadhyay, and Suchitra Mitra - stand out, each signed by the artists themselves, adding a special charm for art enthusiasts.  

At the time, the artist was still a student at the Government Art College, a young man confined within the boundaries of his family circle, unaware of the unexpected turns his artistic journey would take in the future. The sketchbook also contains a portrait of Rabindranath Tagore - possibly the artist’s very first rendering of the poet’s face.
