Everest Shirshe Bangali by Debashis Bishwas [Hardcover]
Everest Shirshe Bangali by Debashis Bishwas [Hardcover]
On May 17, 2010, the two Bengalies reached the 'third pole' of the world, Mount Everest. The conquest of Everest began on May 29, 1953 with the ascent of Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norge, since then nearly 4,000 people have climbed the summit. Yet the achievements of these two mountaineers Basant Singh Roy and Debashis Biswas will remain unique. This is the first time that Everest has been successfully climbed by a completely private and private initiative from West Bengal. Such attempts have been made several times in the last two decades, but this is the first success. Debashis Biswas narrated the story of that expedition in this book. But it is not just about one expedition like five other expeditions, but in this book Devashis tells the story of his self-discovery. A story of cherishing an impossible dream and going beyond yourself to fulfill that dream. Everest becomes only a symbol in this book until the end.
