Shibnathbabu is a teacher at a school. His school sessions take place in the afternoon. Manjari, the headmistress of the girls' section at the same school, starts her day at 6:30 in the morning. Having had a disastrously unsuccessful marriage, Manjari is now without her husband. Shibnath is also a widower. Every year, the boys' and girls' sections of the school celebrate Rabindra Jayanti together. On that occasion, the dignified and elderly Shibnath performs two Rabindra Sangeet songs.
