Shashwati Nandi Shashwati Nandi was born on August 8, 1966. She received her education, training, and employment in Kolkata. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science and is employed in a special position at the West Bengal Human Rights Commission. Her first novel, 'Boshonto Ofuran,' was published in the Sharodiya Sananda in 2014. Additionally, her short stories ‘Brishtir Gondho,’ ‘Goldfish,’ and ‘Amaltas’ (published in Desh and Anandabazar Patrika) have been well received by readers. Her first story collection, 'Swapnobalaka,’ was awarded the Shahid Pradyot Kumar Smriti Utkarsh Puraskar at the Behala Book Fair in 2010. Her second story collection, ‘Jokhon Brishti Elo,’ published in 2013, also received acclaim. Three dramas based on her stories have been broadcasted on Akashvani Kolkata.
