Ramendrasundar Trivedi was an essayist, educationist and scientist who was instrumental in the initiation of scientific research in the Bengali language, surmounting the influence of the British. His efforts also led to the establishment of ‘Bangiya Sahitya Parisad’, an apex body dedicated to the promotion of Bengali literature. However, with passing time, his legacy has been fading into oblivion. We have taken the initiative to compile his selected essays on varied subjects in ‘Ramendrasundar Sera Rachana Sambhar’. Each of his essays demonstrates sharp intellect and a keen understanding of society. This is our humble endeavor to keep alive the stellar legacy of a patriotic figure who has shaped our lives in more ways than we know.
