Robert Oppenheimer, the architect of the atomic bomb, led the first nuclear explosion on Earth known as 'Trinity.' He played a pivotal role in the development and deployment of the atomic bombs 'Fat Man' and 'Little Boy,' dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, respectively. In 1943, after the commencement of the Manhattan Project, the responsibility fell upon Oppenheimer to head the Los Alamos Laboratory. Following the conclusion of World War II in 1947, he joined the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton. During this period, he faced accusations of disloyalty and leaking classified information due to political reasons. In 1953, his security clearance was revoked. However, under President Kennedy's administration and with a shift in the political climate, he was eventually exonerated from these allegations. In 1962, he was elected to the "Royal Society Fellow," and in 1963, he was honored with the Enrico Fermi Award. Oppenheimer's life became entwined with controversy and admiration, entailing a constant tug-of-war between disrespect and reverence. This bengali book on Robert Oppenheimer presents evidence of that very dilemma.
