Buro Ghora by Moti Nandi [Hardcover]

Moti Nandi’s deep connection with sports and the playground, along with his family’s near-century-long residence in the old neighborhoods of North Kolkata, has left a vivid and striking impact on his literary works. His entry into literature was met with great acclaim. He won first prize in the novel competition organized in memory of writer Manik Bandopadhyay.
His first story was published in the weekly magazine Desh in 1957, while his debut story in a Puja edition appeared in Parichay magazine in 1958. Apart from stories and novels, Moti Nandi has authored books on cricket rules and records. His works have been translated into many languages. He received the Anand Award, and some of his stories have been adapted into films
