Kandarpa by Tamal Bandyopadhyay [Hardcover]

Tamal Bandopadhyay was born on 12th July 1978 in Krishnanagar, Nadia district. A student of Krishnanagar Collegiate School, he went on to pursue an M.A. in English from Kalyani University. Currently a teacher by profession, he draws inspiration for his creative pursuits from Rabindranath Tagore’s songs, which he heard in his mother’s voice.

His stories have been published in notable magazines like Desh and Anandabazar Patrika as well as many other prominent periodicals. After finishing school, he, along with his friends, launched and edited a literary magazine. His larger literary debut came in 2007 with the short story Pratidwandi in the Sunday edition of Anandabazar Patrika. His first novel, Mayakach, was published in the 1418 Sharadiya issue of Desh. He has also released a collection of stories titled A-Shareeri. Additionally, he has a deep love for Rabindra Sangeet.
