It would not be an exaggeration to say that this book is an authentic artistic record of Leonardo's 'contradictory' life. Sirge Bremley, while narrating the eventful life of this great painter-sculptor, has captured the essence of the artist through his daily life and his relationships with rivals and close associates, such as Botticelli, Michelangelo, and Machiavelli. In this way, he has painted a captivating portrait of Leonardo's unique personality within the light and shadow of an extraordinary era.
