When we think of hibiscus, we typically think of the native red variety. However, over time, the diversity of the Pune and Bangalore varieties has captured our hearts. In recent years, the array of colors and forms of new hybrid hibiscus varieties has created a special attraction for flower enthusiasts. In our country, and even in our state, new varieties of hibiscus from Southeast Asia and Western countries have also been introduced. Despite the significant effort and time spent by hibiscus lovers to collect these varieties or cultivars, the lack of proper care and maintenance knowledge has resulted in the failure to sustain or properly grow these plants. Therefore, the author has made an effort in this book to share his research-based and hands-on knowledge with all hibiscus enthusiasts.
